Il profilo dell’Operatore Socio Sanitario (OSS) è definito con accordo sancito dalla Conferenza Stato-Regioni nella seduta del 22 febbraio 2001 tra il Ministro della Sanità, il Ministro della Solidarietà Sociale, le Regioni e le Province autonome di Trento e Bolzano.
La Regione Campania ha recepito l’Accordo con DGR 3956/2001.
L’Operatore socio-sanitario svolge la sua attività in collaborazione con gli altri operatori professionali preposti all’assistenza sanitaria e a quella sociale, secondo il criterio del lavoro multi–professionale, sia nel settore del sociale che in quello sanitario, in servizi di tipo socio -assistenziale e socio-sanitario, residenziali e semiresidenziali, in ambiente ospedaliero e al domicilio dell’utente.
